Mario Cranks

Mario has been dedicated to outdoor, sports, and adventure photography for over 10 years. He has worked for major brands in the industry and completed several personal projects that have earned him significant recognition within the field.

As he likes to say, he’s like a salmon, swimming against the current. This approach has helped him develop his own unique style and an exceptional ability to read light, which makes his photos stand out. In 2018 he co -Founded NVCR.STUDIO one of the most recognized outdoor specialized production companies in Spain.

Since 2020, Mario has been sharing his photographic and mountain knowledge with his students through his academy, Foehn. This outdoor photography school not only teaches photography but also helps others create their own businesses and lifestyles, combining audiovisual creation with a sustainable long-term career.

For the past year, Mario has relocated to one of the most spectacular corners of the Alps and has been tirelessly exploring everything the Jungfrau region has to offer.

FAQs

What clothing do I need to bring?

We will send you a packing list a few weeks before the adventure begins. As a general rule, we recommend wearing multiple layers. Weather in the high mountains can change rapidly, so a waterproof jacket and a Merino base layer will be your best friends. Mountain boots are essential for moving safely, and good socks will help prevent unnecessary discomfort. Remember the saying, "There’s no bad weather, just inappropriate clothing." Additionally, you’ll need overnight gear like a sleeping bag and a sleeping mat.

¿Dónde comeremos?

On the arrival day, we'll have a meal at a local restaurant, and we’ll also have a meal before we leave on Sunday for anyone who wants to join. Dinner and breakfast after the night in the bivouac will be in the mountains, and each participant needs to be self-sufficient.

What level of physical fitness is required?

This course requires a basic level of physical fitness. The hike to the overnight site is about 6 km with a bit more than 500 meters of elevation gain. It's not excessively difficult, but carrying all the gear for sleeping, photography, and food can be a bit challenging.

How many people will be there? Is there a minimum number of participants for the course?

the activity will require a minimum group of 4 participants and a maximum of 10
